Speedy wideout and return man Trebor Pena earned another preseason accolade – this time for his work in the weight room.
Pena, who is on the Paul Hornung Award Watch List, was named to Bruce Feldman's College Football Freaks list. Pena checked in at No. 60 on the list, which recognizes freakish athletic ability in college football. He stands at 6-0 and weighs 190 pounds, but squats 550 pounds, cleans 310 pounds, benched 225 pounds for 19 reps and has a 40-inch vertical.
On the field, he enters the 2023 season ranked fifth among active players in career kick return average (27.0). He appeared in 11 games last season, catching 22 passes for 203 yards and also ran the ball twice in the Orange's Pinstripe Bowl game vs. Minnesota last season.
The Orange open the 2023 season on Sept. 2 vs. Colgate. Season tickets, partial plans and individual game tickets are now on sale at Cuse.com/Tickets. Season tickets, which start at just $99, remain the best value for Orange fans. Fans can also purchase group tickets, hospitality packages and tailgate packages. With two of the last three games in the JMA Dome having been sold out, fans are encouraged to secure their seats today to be part of the action.
