
Sean Lindsay Named to Hudson Valley Chapter Hall of Fame

Former Syracuse University men's lacrosse All-American Sean Lindsay has been selected to the USA Lacrosse Hudson Valley Chapter Hall of Fame. The Chapter made its announcement Wednesday afternoon.
A two-time NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse National Champion, Lindsay co-captained the Orange to a title in his senior season (2004), scoring the game-winning goal with five seconds left against Georgetown in the quarterfinals to advance Syracuse to Championship Weekend. For his efforts in that postseason, Lindsay was selected to the NCAA Championship All-Tournament Team.
Hailing from Cortlandt Manor, New York, Lindsay was a USILA All-America Honorable Mention selection in 2003 before earning First Team All-America honors in 2004. As a senior, Lindsay was selected to the prestigious USILA North-South All-Star Game, playing alongside teammates Michael Powell and Steve Vallone.
Over the course of his Syracuse career, Lindsay scored 89 points thanks to 69 goals and 20 assists, including 29 goals in each of his final two seasons. In his junior year, Lindsay registered six hat tricks while playing and starting in all 32 games in his final pair of campaigns.
Following his collegiate career, Lindsay was a first-round Major League Lacrosse (MLL) draft pick, going fourth overall in the 2004 collegiate draft by Rochester. Lindsay enjoyed a six-year MLL career, playing in 48 games with 71 goals, 13 of which came from beyond the 2-point arc, and registering 29 assists for 113 career points.
Prior to Syracuse, Lindsay was a standout attackman at Lakeland-Panas High School, producing 57 goals and 50 assists in his final scholastic season, bringing his career totals to 198 goals and 100 assists. He graduated as the all-time leading scorer in the Lakeland school district, A two-time team captain, Lindsay was named as a high school All-American in 1999 and 2000 and was the 2000 North County News Player of the Year.
Joining Lindsay in this year's Hudson Valley Chapter Hall of Fame will be Katrina Down (Yorktown/Northwestern), Merrill Turnbull (Mahopac/North Carolina), and Alexis Venechanos (Yorktown/Maryland).
