A trio of Orange players earned ACC Player of the Week honors on Monday, following their 35-20 road victory over Purdue on Saturday.
Quarterback Garrett Shrader was named ACC Quarterback of the Week, running back LeQuint Allen took home ACC Running Back of the Week honors, and offensive guard Chris Bleich was named ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week.
Shrader tallied nearly 400 yards of total offense on the day, split evenly among the Orange's rushing and passing attack. He set a new program record for rushing touchdowns by a QB with four in the win over the Boilermakers. His 195 yards on the ground was highest total in the FBS by a quarterback this season (third highest overall) and was the second-best rushing mark by an SU quarterback ever. He now owns two of the top-20 rushing totals by a quarterback in ACC history. He also threw for 184 yards through the air in the win.
Allen tallied over 140 yards from scrimmage in the Orange's win. He carried the ball for 80 yards and one touchdown on the ground, while also serving as Syracuse's top receiving target with six catches. His six receptions went for 62 yards, 58 of which came after the catch.
Bleich led an offensive line unit that paved the way for 271 yards rushing against the Boilermakers and put up 455 yards of total offense. Bleich tallied six knockdown blocks in his 79 snaps, allowed just one pressure and didn't allow a sack.
Syracuse returns to the JMA Dome on Saturday vs. Army in a Noon kickoff. Tickets are available on Cuse.com/Tickets. Both Partial plans and individual game tickets are now on sale. Fans can also purchase group tickets, hospitality packages and tailgate packages.
