Syracuse hosts its first ACC home match on Thursday, Sept. 21, when #3 Florida State visits the SU Soccer Stadium. The Seminoles are one of two unbeaten and untied Division I programs.

MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT:
It will be Military Appreciation Night at the SU Soccer Stadium on Thursday evening. Veterans in attendance can stop by the marketing table near the main entrance to receive some official Syracuse Athletics gear.

THE SYRACUSE-FLORIDA STATE SERIES:
The Seminoles are unbeaten in five meetings with the Orange. Florida State has a 4-0-1 lead in the all-time series. The Seminoles captured the most recent matchup in 2021, 5-0.

SYRACUSE STATUS:

The Orange lost at Miami, 2-1, in their conference opener last Friday. Redshirt sophomore Erin Flurey has a squad-leading three goals and two assists. Senior Hannah Pilley has scored twice this fall. Sophomore Shea Vanderbosch (1.56 GAA, .754 save %) has posted two shutouts in 2023.

FLORIDA STATE STATUS:
The Seminoles enter the match ranked second among ACC teams in scoring offense (3.0) and fourth in scoring defense (0.67). Florida State's six-game winning streak includes a 4-2 defeat of #8 Clemson last Friday. The visitors feature senior Onyl Echegini (5g, 1a) and junior Taylor Huff (2g, 5a) at the offensive end. Senior Cristina Rogue (0.67 GAA, .636 save %) has logged all the time in goal in goal.

NOTABLE NOTES:

Syracuse will be without senior Zoe Van de Cloot, who earned an invitation to train with the Belgian national team. She is expected to return to Syracuse following the completion of camp on Sept. 26.
Junior Kylen Grant has played every minute of the first nine matches for the Orange.
The Atlantic Coast Conference continues to own multiple residences in the United Soccer Coaches Poll. The ACC has fourof the top 10 teams and six overall in the Sept. 19 rankings.
