Syracuse travels to Riggs Field on Saturday, Sept. 30, to visit #8 Clemson for its second ACC road match of the season. The Tigers are the second top 10 ranked team that the Orange will face in three games.

The Orange tangled with #3 Florida State last Thursday and were defeated on a goal in the final 10 minutes.

The Syracuse-Clemson Series:
Clemson is undefeated in nine matchups against Syracuse. The Tigers have a 7-0-2 advantage in the all-time series. The latest contest between the two teams, conducted in 2022, resulted in a 1-1 draw.

Syracuse Status:
The Orange (2-8-1, 0-3-0) seek an opportunity to bounce back after a 4-0 loss to Virginia Tech Sunday. Syracuse's defense has been anchored by junior Kylen Grant, who has yet to miss a minute of play this fall. Grant has logged 990 minutes over the 11 games.

Sophomore Shea Vanderbosch leads the ACC with 67 total saves and a 6.0 saves average. Vanderbosch has a 1.91 goals-against-average and a .787 save percentage.

Clemson Status:
Clemson is 8-1-2 overall and 2-1-0 in the ACC. The Tigers enter the match with a standalone loss to then #4 Florida State, 4-2. In its latest contest, Clemson defeated Boston College 2-0 on Sunday.

Senior Makenna Morris leads the squad with five goals on the season. Freshman Jenna Tobia has recorded four goals and seven assists. Senior goalkeeper Halle Mackiewicz ranks first in the ACC with eight shutouts. She has a 0.47 goals-against-average and an .808 save percentage.

Notable Notes:

Syracuse senior Zoe Van de Cloot will return to the squad after a two-match absence. Her time away was spent training with the Belgian national team.
The Atlantic Coast Conference continues to dominate the United Soccer Coaches Poll. The ACC occupies four of the top 10 rankings and six overall in the Sept. 26 poll.
Syracuse senior Kate Murphy leads the squad with 36 career starts.
