Syracuse (13-5, 4-3 ACC) continues its home stand against Florida State (11-7, 5-2) in the JMA Wireless Dome on Tuesday, January 23 at 7 p.m.

SETTING THE STAGE
The Orange have won all nine games inside the Dome this season. In home contests, Syracuse has averaged 79.7 points while holding opponents to 69.2 per game.

The Seminoles were on a five-game winning streak before losing to Clemson, 78-67, this past Saturday.

THE SYRACUSE-FSU SERIES
Syracuse and Florida State will meet for the 17^th time on Tuesday night. The Orange are ahead in the all-time series, 10-6. The last two outings went to Syracuse, most recently with a 75-67 victory at Florida State on Feb. 8, 2023. The Seminoles last defeated the Orange, 76-71, on Jan. 15, 2022.

LAST TIME OUT
Sophomore swingman Quadir Copeland drilled a game-clinching 3-pointer as time expired to defeat Miami in the Dome on Saturday, 72-69. Sophomore guard J.J. Starling had his best performance for the Orange with 22 points, which included six 3-pointers. Sophomore backcourt partner Judah Mintz was two rebounds off from a triple-double, contributing 10 points, a career-high 13 assists and eight rebounds. Sophomore center Maliq Brown produced a double-double with 10 points and 11 boards.

ORANGE LEADERS
Mintz leads the squad in scoring and is fifth in the ACC with 17.9 points per game. He is also among the top 10 of Division I in free throws (T-eighth, 119) and free throw attempts (T-ninth, 150). Mintz and Brown are tied at second place in the conference in steals per game (2.17). Brown leads the squad in rebound average with 6.2 per game. Over the last seven games he's averaged 8.1 boards per outing.

Sophomores J.J. Starling (11.8 ppg.), a guard, and forward Chris Bell (11.1) are the other Syracuse players averaging double-digit scoring this season.

Syracuse is atop the ACC in steals per game, averaging 9.2.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
Florida State has three performers averaging over 10 points per game -- junior forward Jamir Watkins (13.2 ppg.), senior guard Darin Green Jr. (12.3) and junior guard Primo Spears (11.4). Watkins also leads the squad in rebound average (5.8) and assists (55). The Seminoles top the ACC in turnovers forced (15.4) and bench points per game (28.6).

BING TO JOIN RING OF HONOR
When the Orange host NC State on Saturday, January 27, Syracuse University Athletics will be adding Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame member Dave Bing '66 to its Ring of Honor in the JMA Wireless Dome. His name will be displayed in the Dome with the likes of Jim Boeheim, Jim Brown, Ernie Davis, Floyd Little, Ben Schwartzwalder, Roy Simmons Jr. and Dwayne "Pearl" Washington.

SYRACUSE FANS CAN VOTE MINTZ FOR COUSY AWARD
Mintz is one of 20 watch-list candidates for the 2024 Bob Cousy Award, which is annually presented to the top point guard in Division I men's basketball. Orange followers are encouraged to participate in three rounds of Fan Voting, presented by Dell Technologies, on hoophallawards.com.

Mintz is also on the watch list for the Naismith Trophy. The list is comprised of 50 student-athletes and will be narrowed throughout the year. The winner of the award will be announced later in the season.
