Men’s Lacrosse Checks in at Number Nine

BALTIMORE - With less than two weeks between the Syracuse University men's lacrosse team and the 2024 season, the Orange check in the top 10 of another preseason poll, this time from Inside Lacrosse and its media poll.

Syracuse, which went 8-7 last season, was ranked ninth in the Inside Lacrosse Media Preseason Poll, collecting 269 points.

The Orange face seven of the eight teams ranked ahead of Syracuse in the Media Poll: No. 1 Notre Dame (March 30), No. 2 Duke (March 20), No. 3 Virginia (April 20), No. 5 Johns Hopkins (March 9), No. 6 Maryland (Feb. 17), No. 7 Cornell (April 2), and No. 8 Army West Point (Feb. 28). Additionally, Syracuse faces No. 16 Delaware (March 16), No. 17 North Carolina (April 13), rv Utah (Feb. 21), and rv High Point (March 2).

'Cuse opens the 2024 campaign with three games in the first week, leading off with Vermont on Feb. 3 followed by local foe Colgate on Feb. 5. The week rounds out on Feb. 9 against Manhattan.
