Syracuse (13-6, 4-4 ACC) hosts North Carolina State (13-6, 5-3) in the JMA Wireless Dome on Saturday, January 27 at 7 p.m.

SETTING THE STAGE
The Orange will play their third consecutive Dome game this Saturday. Syracuse has a 9-1 record as hosts this season.

The Wolfpack have won four of seven games in January, but dropped their last two games to Virginia Tech and Virginia.

THE SYRACUSE-NC STATE SERIES
Syracuse and NC State square off on the hardwood for the 19^th time on Saturday. The Orange own a 12-6 advantage in the all-time series. Syracuse has won five straight matchups with NC State, most recently outlasting the Wolfpack, 75-72, on Feb. 14, 2023. NC State last defeated the Orange with a 79-74 victory on Feb. 11, 2020.

LAST TIME OUT
Sophomore guard Judah Mintz scored a team-leading 28 points against Florida State. His backcourt partner, sophomore J.J. Starling, scored 10 points in the outing. Sophomore center Maliq Brown tied his career-high with 12 rebounds and contributed eight points. The Orange won the battle at the glass against the Seminoles, grabbing 38 boards to Florida State's 35.

ORANGE LEADERS
Mintz tops the team and ranks third in the ACC in scoring average (18.4). He is seventh among Division I players in free throws (129) and free throw attempts (165). Brown ranks second (2.11) and Mintz ranks third (2.05) in the ACC in steals per game. Brown is the squad leader in rebounds with 6.5 per game. Over the last eight games, he has averaged 8.6 boards per affair.

Starling (11.7 ppg.) and classmate Chris Bell (10.7), a forward, are the other Syracuse players averaging double-digit scoring this season.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
NC State's DJ Horne, a graduate guard, averages 14.8 points per contest. Horne is tied for eighth in the ACC in steals per game with 1.58. Graduate forward DJ Burns Jr. (12.1 ppg.), junior guard Jayden Taylor (11.8 ppg.) and graduate guard Casey Morsell (11.8 ppg.) all average double-figure scoring. The Wolfpack are atop the ACC in fastbreak points per game with 14.3.

BING TO JOIN RING OF HONOR
On Saturday, Syracuse University Athletics will be adding Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame member Dave Bing '66 to its Ring of Honor in the JMA Wireless Dome. His name will be displayed in the Dome with the likes of Jim Boeheim, Jim Brown, Ernie Davis, Floyd Little, Ben Schwartzwalder, Roy Simmons Jr. and Dwayne "Pearl" Washington.

SYRACUSE FANS CAN VOTE MINTZ FOR COUSY AWARD
Mintz is one of 20 watch-list candidates for the 2024 Bob Cousy Award, which is annually presented to the top point guard in Division I men's basketball. Orange followers are encouraged to participate in three rounds of Fan Voting, presented by Dell Technologies, on hoophallawards.com.

Mintz is also on the watch list for the Naismith Trophy. The list is comprised of 50 student-athletes and will be narrowed throughout the year. The winner of the award will be announced later in the season.
