Belluz Signs Contract with Rapids 2

COMMERCE CITY, COLO. – Graduate student Josh Belluz has signed a contract with Colorado Rapids 2 of the Major League Soccer (MLS) Next Pro league.

Belluz played a key role in the Syracuse backline in 2023 and was one of four players to start in all 21 matches while leading the team with 1,811 minutes on the pitch. The fifth-year defender recorded two goals and one assist, including the game winning goal on Nov. 16 vs. Boston University in the NCAA Tournament First Round contest. Belluz was part of Syracuse's seven clean sheets and appeared in 75-or-more minutes in 20 of the games, including the full time in 11 matches.

Prior to concluding his collegiate career with the Orange, the Toronto, Ontario, native played four seasons at Villanova. Belluz made 51 appearances and 50 starts with the Wildcats, scoring one goal and recording a pair of assists.
