Syracuse quarterback Kyle McCord has been added to the Manning Award Midseason Award Watch List.
McCord has thrown for 300+ yards in all six games this season, which already has tied the program record for most 300-yard games in a single season. He's also tossed 19 touchdown passes, which ranks tied for sixth in program history for a season.
The senior transfer leads the nation in completions per game (30.8) and is second nationally in passing yards per game (360.0). His 2,160 passing yards this season are also a most by a Syracuse quarterback through the first-six games of a season in school history.
The Manning Award was created by the Allstate Sugar Bowl in honor of the college football accomplishments of Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning. It is the only quarterback award that includes the candidates' bowl performances in its balloting.
He and the Orange return to action on Thursday night at Pitt. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on ESPN.
