
Fennell Pledges To Syracuse Men's Basketball

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Luke Fennell, a 6-6 combo guard from Melbourne, Australia, has committed to enroll and play basketball at Syracuse, starting in 2025, according to the University.
Fennell, from Melbourne, Australia, plays at South East Melbourne. The Phoenix competes in the National Basketball League (NBL), a professional league in Australia and New Zealand. He will spend the 2024-25 season as a developmental player.
Fennell most recently participated in the 2024 FIBA U-18 Asia Cup with Australia. Fennell averaged 11.8 points per game, and helped propel the Aussies to a 6-0 record and tournament victory. His top outing was a 24-point performance in a 94-42 victory against Jordan. Australia secured a spot in the 2025 FIBA World Cup with the triumph.
He was also part of Australia's U-18 team that won the gold medal in the Albert Sweitzer Games in Germany. Australia was 7-0 in the tournament. Fennell had 19 points in a 93-67 victory against Japan.
Previously, he took part of the NBA Global Academy, a training center located at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra, Australia.
Fennell earned a four-star ranking from 247 Sports. He was rated the 23rd shooting guard in the Class of 2025.
Fennell joins top-15 recruit Sadiq White Jr. from IMG Academy on Syracuse's commit list from the Class of '25.
