Syracuse is ranked No. 23 in this week's Associated Press rankings and No. 25 in the Coaches Poll after its upset of No. 8 Miami. The Orange, which are making their first appearance in the national rankings this season, have now been ranked at least one week in four of the past seven seasons.

The 42-38 victory against the Hurricanes gives Syracuse a 9-3 overall record and a 5-3 mark in head coach Fran Brown's first season at the helm of the program. Saturday's win was the first for the Orange against a top-10 opponent since the 2017 victory against Clemson in the JMA Dome.

Syracuse finished the season strong, posting a 4-1 record in the month of November. It marks Cuse's first winning record in the final month of the regular season since 2018 and the sixth time since 2000.
