McCord Earns Maxwell, Davey O'Brien Player of the Week Honors

Kyle McCord's list of honors continues to grow after leading Syracuse to a come-from-behind victory against No. 8 Miami. The senior is the Maxwell Player of the Week as well as the Davey O'Brien National Quarterback of the Week.

McCord and the Orange stormed back from a 21-0 deficit for the largest comeback in school history to defeat the Hurricanes, 42-38. He completed 26-of-36 passes for 380 yards and three touchdowns. McCord completed 3-of-4 passes on Syracuse's first drive of the fourth quarter that was capped by a LeQuint Allen touchdown run that gave 'Cuse the lead for good with 9:17 remaining.

With his performance, McCord set the single-season school record with 29 touchdown passes this season. He also became the first Orange quarterback to throw for 4,000 yards in a season. McCord leads the nation in passing yards (4,326), passing yards per game (360.5) and completions per game (30.58).

Earlier this week, McCord was named the Associated Press Player of the Week.
