
Stevens Named Preseason USILA All-American

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Another day, another preseason honor for Syracuse University men's lacrosse standout Jake Stevens, who earned recognition on the USILA Division I Preseason All-America Team.
The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) announced its preseason accolades Thursday morning.
Stevens, who hails from Puslinch, Ontario, Canada, was named USILA Preseason All-America Second Team as a midfielder. The Princeton University fifth-year transfer was also named Preseason All-ACC, Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-America First Team, and USA Lacrosse Preseason All-America Second Team.
An All-American at Princeton, Stevens, played in 50 games for the Tigers. Named to Canada Lacrosse's Fall Classic roster, Stevens racked 58 goals in the midfield alongside 11 assists for 69 career points for Princeton. He scored 20 or more goals in each of his final two seasons at Princeton, including 14 man-up goals in that span.
No. 9 Syracuse opens the 2024 season on Saturday, Feb. 3 with a 4 p.m. showdown with Vermont at the JMA Wireless Dome. Saturday's season opener will be carried on ACC Network with Chris Cotter and Paul Carcaterra '97 on the call. Jack Gordon and Kyle Fetterly will have the radio call on TK99/105.
