
Nine Named to All-ACC Academic Team

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Nine men's soccer student-athletes earned a spot on the 2023 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Team, the conference announced Thursday.

To be eligible, student-athletes must have a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative grade point average during one's academic career. Additionally, student-athletes must have competed in at least 50-percent of their team's contests during the season.

Noah Singelmann, an economics major, becomes the first player in program history to be named to the All-ACC Academic Team in four different seasons. Â The Rheinstetten, Germany native earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team honors in 2022.

Buster Sjoberg (Finance) is an All-ACC Academic Team honoree for the third time in his career, while Jackson Glenn (Finance) was selected for the second time. In addition, Nate Edwards (Communication Rhetorical Studies), Nicholas Kaloukian (Policy Studies), Mateo Leveque (Communication Rhetorical Studies), Gabriel Mikina (Communication Rhetorical Studies), Olu Oyegunle (Communication Rhetorical Studies) and Michael Suski (Communication Rhetorical Studies) all earn the honor for the first time.

The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes student-athletes academic achievement regardless of on-field participation, will be announced in July.
