After another 2-0 week for the Syracuse women's basketball team, the Orange stock continues to rise. Second year head coach Felisha Legette-Jack's squad moved up two spots to No. 17 in this week's Associated Press (AP) Top-25 Poll. The Orange earned road wins at Miami, 71-60, and Virginia, 85-79, to last week to extend the win streak to five games.Â
Syracuse is 22-4 overall and 12-3 in the ACC. It's the most ACC wins for the Orange since 2018-19 and Syracuse's six ACC road wins ties a program record. The Orange were picked to finish ninth in the ACC Preseason Poll and currently sit second in the ACC standings with three remaining regular season games.Â
The Orange wrap up their home slate this week with games against Duke on Thursday (7 p.m./ACCNX) and Pittsburgh for Senior Day on Sunday (2 p.m./ACCNX). Dyaisha Fair needs 26 points to tie Baylor alumna Brittney Griner on the all-time NCAA Division I women's basketball scoring list and is projected to do it at home this week. Syracuse is searching for it's first 12-win ACC season since the 2015-16 season when SU went 13-3 in conference play and earned the 3-seed in the 2016 ACC Tournament.Â
Fans are encouraged to WEAR ORANGE to Thursday's game vs. Duke. Tickets to the remaining home games are on sale now and can be purchased online or by calling the JMA Wireless Dome Box Office at 88-DOME-TIXÂ
