
Bennie Posts Top-10 Finish at Olympic Marathon Trials

Syracuse alum Colin Bennie led nine former Orange runners at the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials on Saturday, posting a top-10 finish.
Bennie was 10th overall in Orlando, finishing the event in 2:12:17. Connor Mantz won the event in 2:09.05.
Jonathan Aziz was 38th in 2:17:49, followed by Martin Hehir (2:20:22), Dominic Hockenbury (2:21:15), Joe Whelan (2:22:37) and JP Trojan (2:26:08) among the men. Five of the six finished in the top-100 and all six placed within the top-125 of the country's best.
Annie Heffernan (2:49.51) was the top 'Cuse woman in 105th place. Maegan Krifchin and Sarah Pagano also qualified for the field.
