
Autry Named Joe B. Hall Award Finalist

Syracuse's Adrian Autry has been named one of 16 finalists for the 2023-24 Joe B. Hall National Coach of the Year Award.
Autry guided the Orange to the program's first 20-win, regular season since 2013-14. Syracuse's 11 ACC wins represented the second-best total since the Orange joined the conference in 2013-14. Autry's squad finished the campaign with a 20-12 record.
There were 31 rookie head coaches in Division I this season. Autry's 20-win total tied for the fifth-best mark out of the 31.
The Joe B. Hall Award is presented annually to the top rookie, first-year head coach in Division I college basketball
A 10-member voting committee, made up of current and former head coaches, plus two senior staff members of collegeinsider.com, select the Hall Award recipient. It will be presented at the 2024 Final Four in Phoenix, Ariz.
Joe B. Hall was head coach of the Kentucky men's basketball program from 1972-to-1985. His teams were 297-100, won eight Southeastern Conference regular-season titles, one Southeastern Conference tournament championship, played in three NCAA Final Fours, and won the 1978 national championship.
