Ten members of the Orange will continue their seasons after qualifying for the NCAA East Preliminary Round next weekend in 11 events.
The group will feature six men and five women in Lexington, Kentucky, which begins on Wednesday, May 22.
Jaheem Hayles is the top qualifier among the Orange, as the third-ranked runner based on season-best times, in the 110-meter hurdles. The prelims of that event will kick off the weekend at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, with advancing runners competing Friday.
The men's 10,000-meter run will feature the largest contingent – with three members of the team entered. Perry Mackinnon leads the way with the No. 5 time in the region among those entered. He'll be joined by Paul O'Donnell and Sam Lawler. The 10k will be a one-race NCAA semifinal at 9:10 p.m. on Wednesday.
Benne Anderson, who was an All-ACC performer last week at the ACC Championships, will race in the 1,500-meter run on Wednesday. Elijah Mallard will compete in the 400-meter hurdles on Wednesday as well.
The women will see four women race in five events. Shaleah Colaire will race in both the 100 and 400-meter hurdles on Thursday at 6 p.m. and 8:20 p.m., seeking to advance to Friday.
Madison Neuner is the top-ranked woman for the Orange, with the sixth-best seed time in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. The ACC runner-up will race on Saturday at 5:40 p.m.
Savannah Roark also owns one of the top-10 times in the field in her event. She will race in the women's 10,000-meter run NCAA semifinal to close out racing on Thursday.
Ellie Lawler will end the event for the Orange at 8:10 p.m. on Saturday in the 5k.
The event will be broadcast live on ESPN+ all week.
