
Orange Ranked #3 in Final Poll

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse is ranked No. 3 in the final ILWomen/IWLCA rankings released on Tuesday, May 28. It marks the third time in the last four years that the Orange have finished in the top 10 in the final poll of the season.

Syracuse posted a 16-6 record in 2004 and advanced to the national semifinals for the 10th time in program history. The Orange claimed their third overall ACC regular-season title and first outright championship with an 8-1 league record.

Under the direction of third-year head coach Kayla Treanor, 'Cuse earned the No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament and a first-round bye. The Orange defeated Stony Brook and No. 6 seed Yale to advance to Championship Weekend.
