No. 10 Syracuse (6-3, 3-2) returns to ACC-play on Saturday when the Orange face off with No. 19 Virginia (5-5, 3-2 ACC) at Scott Stadium in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Â
Opening Draw
The Orange are on a six-game winning streak which includes wins over three ranked opponents. Syracuse has posted back-to-back wins over top-10 foes, taking down then-ranked No. 4 Northwestern on the road before topping No. 7 Yale at home.
Â
The contest with the Cavaliers will be the Orange's first ACC action since taking down Virginia Tech a couple of weeks ago. The conference standings are tight, with each league matchup being critical.
Â

Syracuse has leaned on its defense this season, holding opponents to just 7.1 goals per game, the fourth lowest in the nation.

Â
Izzy Lahah and Coco Vandiver lead the defense with 23 and 22 caused turnovers, respectively.
Â
Get the Ball to Guzik
Molly Guzik continues to lead the Orange offense, owning a team-high 24 goals to go with four assists. She scores six of the nine goals against Northwestern, earning her USA Lacrosse Magazine Division I Player of the Week and ACC Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Â
During the winning streak, she has scored three goals or more in four of the six games.
Â
Guyette in Net
Daniella Guyette has been locked in over the past two games, holding Northwestern to six goals and Yale to just 5.
Â
She notched 10 saves on a .667 save percentage against the Bulldogs and held them scoreless on free position shots in the one-goal win. Six of her 10 saves came in the second half.
Scouting Virginia
Saturday's matchup marks the 32nd all-time meeting between the two programs, with Syracuse having won three consecutive meetings, including a 13-12 victory at the JMA Wireless Dome in which Caroline Trinkaus scored the decisive goal on a free position shot in the fourth quarter.
Virginia enters the contest at 5-5 overall and 3-2 in ACC play after winning three of their last four games, with victories over Pittsburgh and Florida State among their conference wins. Offensively, Madison Alaimo leads the team with 41 points on 12 goals and a team-best 29 assists, while Kate Galica paces the Cavaliers in scoring with 20 goals and nine assists.
