Superstar tight end Oronde Gadsden II is one of EA Sports' Top-100 players in the new College Football video game, which is set to return later this month.
Gadsden II was announced as a 91 overall in the release, which was announced on Wednesday.
Coming off an injury that sidelined him for nearly the entirety of the 2023 season, Gadsden returns to the Orange at full strength in 2024, seeking to duplicate his record-breaking 2022 campaign. He was a First Team All-ACC selection as a sophomore after leading all tight ends nationally in receiving yards (969). The total was the seventh-most in a single season in Syracuse history and cleared the tight ends receiving yards record by nearly 400 yards. He also set the program record for receptions by a sophomore (61) and receptions by a tight end in 2022.
The eighth-highest rated pass catcher in the nation in 2022, according to Pro Football Focus, Gadsden appeared in just two games in 2023. Playing the first half against Colgate in the season opener and suffering a season-ending Lisfranc injury on the first possession of game two. Still, he picked up right where he left off. In little more than 30 minutes of season, he caught seven passes for 67 yards and a score.
Gadsden II returns to a high-powered offense in 2024, which features All-ACC running back LeQuint Allen and marquee transfer quarterback Kyle McCord, in addition to other weapons.
