
Orange Welcome Albany To JMA Wireless Dome In December

Syracuse will host Albany on Tuesday, Dec. 10, in the JMA Wireless Dome. It will mark the first encounter between the two men's basketball program since 2011.
Syracuse-Albany Series Notes
- Syracuse has an 8-0 advantage in the all-time series with Albany.
- Six of the previous eight pairings have taken place in Syracuse, including the most recent contest, in the 2011-12 season.
- The Orange and Great Danes first met on Feb. 20, 1919, in Albany.
The Orange were 20-12 a year ago in Adrian Autry's first campaign at the helm. Syracuse returns guard J.J. Starling (13.3 ppg.) and forward Chris Bell (12.0 ppg.) from last season's squad. Both head into their junior campaigns as returning starters. Key incoming transfers include guard Jaquan Carlos (10.4 ppg., 6.3 apg. at Hofstra), forward Jyáre Davis (17.1 ppg., 7.5 rpg. at Delaware), center Eddie Lampkin (10.6 ppg., 7.0 rpg. at Colorado), and swingman Lucas Taylor (14.5 ppg. at Georgia State).
Albany was 13-19 overall and 5-11 in the America East last season. The Great Danes are coached by Dwayne Killings, who is entering his fourth season at the helm. Redshirt junior guard Amar'e Marshall, who started all 32 games and averaged 16.7 and 5.0 rebounds per game last season, is a top returning performing for Albany.
