Syracuse and Maine bring unblemished 1-0 records into the Aug. 18 matchup at the SU Soccer Stadium.

The Syracuse-Maine Series:
The Orange and the Black Bears have squared off one other time. Syracuse claimed a 3-0 victory in the encounter on August 31, 1997.

Syracuse Status:
The Orange began the campaign with a 2-0 triumph against UMass. Junior forward Ava Uribe had a goal and an assist and redshirt junior midfielder Ashley Rauch tallied for the Orange.

Junior netminder Shea Vanderbosch earned a shutout in goal. Freshmen Anna Croyle, Iba Oching and Gabby Wisbeck made their first collegiate starts.

Maine Status:

The Black Bears had four different players score in a 4-0, season opening win at Le Moyne. Maine outshot the Dolphins 26-2. Coach Scott Atherley is in his 26th season at Maine.

Senior forward Abby Kraemer had a goal and an assist versus Le Moyne. Junior forward Jordane Pinette scored the first goal, which proved to be the game winner. Graduate student Jessica Kasacek played all 90 minutes in the opener at Le Moyne.
