
Orange Win On Senior Day, 3-0

Syracuse (6-1-1) had goals from three different players and celebrated Senior Day with a 3-0 victory against St. Bonaventure (1-5-1) at the SU Soccer Stadium on Sunday.
The win allowed the Orange to equal the third-best start in program history.Â
MURPHY GIVES ORANGE THE ADVANTAGE
After a competitive start, Syracuse scored first in the 26th minute. Junior Ava Uribe tallied her team-high fourth assist of the season off a free kick to graduate Kate Murphy, who finished the play with the second goal of her Syracuse tenure.Â
FIRSTS FOR NAIHIN AND VANDERBOSCH
Syracuse's second goal included two firsts. Freshman Vita Naihin netted her first collegiate goal to extend the Orange's advantage to 2-0 in the first half of play. The goal was assisted by sophomore Moo Galbus and junior Shea Vanderbosch. The dish by Vanderbosch gave the keeper her first career assist.
BLYTHE'S BREAKOUT
Senior Blythe Braun took over the goalkeeping chores in the second half and preserved the clean sheet. She has yet to yield a goal in three appearances, covering 175 minutes, this season.
A FLUREY TO FINISH
Senior Erin Flurey put the finishing touches on the win for Syracuse. After a feed from junior Ashley Rauch, Flurey's strong strike ricocheted off St. Bonaventure goalie Chiara Gottinger, hit Flurey again, and caromed into the net. It was Flurey's second goal of the season.

Syracuse travels to SMU to kickoff ACC play on Thursday, September 12, at 7 p.m. in Dallas, Texas.
