Syracuse Hosts North Carolina on Halloween night in the Loud House! Here are five things to know about the matchup:
1. ORANGE OUT
Friday's game will be an Orange Out – meaning fans are encouraged to wear orange! To help create a sea of Orange throughout the JMA Wireless Dome, the first 40,000 people through the gates will receive an orange rally towel, courtesy of Coca-Cola.
Tickets for Friday's game are still available at Cuse.com/FootballTickets.
2. HALLOWEEN FESTIVITIES
There's plenty of Halloween activities in store on Friday night, beginning with 'Cuse on the Quad, which starts at 4:30 p.m., and will include a haunted house. There will also be a costume parade for kids beginning at 6 p.m.
Once inside, there's plenty more in store. 'Otto's Spooky Space' will offer professional 360-degree camera photos for costumed fans from 6:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. Additionally, kids can meet and snap photos with Otto the Orange from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. 'Otto's Spooky Space' will be in the Dome's Flex Space on the 100-level concourse behind the student-section.
There will also be devilishly good food and beverage specials for Halloween, including 'Witches Brew' specialty cocktails and Spooky Purple Popcorn – only available in Miron Victory Court. For those seeking a frightfully good deal, a 'Devilishly Good Savings' promotion features a four-pack food and beverage option for just $30.
Students are invited to participate in a costume contest for a chance to win prizes. Visit Cuse.com/Halloween for more Halloween promotions and to ensure that if you opt to wear a costume it meets stadium costume guidelines.
3. CAROLINA ON MY MIND
Friday's game is just the eighth all-time meeting between the two schools, with the Tar Heels leading the series 4-3 after taking the 2023 meeting in Chapel Hill.
Both teams have changed coaches since that meeting, with the Orange in their second year under the direction of Head Coach Fran Brown, and the Tar Heels in the inaugural season under Bill Belichick.
If history repeats itself Friday, fans are in for a good game. Two of the last-four meetings have required multiple overtimes, including the last time UNC visited the Dome.
4. ADDITIONAL FAN INFORMATION
'Cuse on the Quad opens at 4:30 p.m., with the NYE Auto Quad walk to follow at approximately 5:10 p.m. – however fans will want to arrive before that to ensure their spot along the route and beat the team there. Each game will have a collectible NYE Auto Quad Walk game pin this season and will be distributed beginning at 4:30 p.m. in front of Hendrick's Chapel. Be there early to get yours and try to collect all-six this season.
The Orange ice hockey and softball teams will be signing autographs on the quad as well. The Marching Band will perform at 6 p.m. on the Hendricks Chapel Steps.
5. LAST HOME GAME FOR NEARLY A MONTH
Don't miss your last chance to see the Orange at home until after Thanksgiving. After Friday's game, 'Cuse will be on the road at Miami (Nov. 8) and at Notre Dame (Nov. 22) before returning home to close out the regular season against longtime rival Boston College.
