
Orange Back Home for Pair of ACC Matches

Syracuse volleyball returns home this weekend to face two West Coast opponents at the Women's Building. The Orange will host California on Friday at 6:00 PM before taking on No. 6Â Stanford on Sunday at 1:00 PM. Both games will stream on ACCNX.
After splitting their first four ACC matches on the road, the Orange (10-4, 2-2 ACC) look to build momentum in their first home conference weekend of the season. Syracuse recorded victories over Notre Dame and Virginia Tech, while falling to #6 Louisville and Virginia in a five-set thriller. The Orange will face another challenging test against a pair of teams from the West Coast, including the No. 6 ranked Stanford squad.
COMING HOME
- After two weekends of ACC play on the road, the Orange return to Syracuse for their first home conference matches.
- Syracuse sits at 10-4 overall and 2-2 in ACC play.

THE OFFENSE RUNS THROUGH TEHYA
- Tehya Maeva is just 68 assists away from 2,000 career assists.
- Maeva has tallied 479 assists this season at a career-high 9.39 per set.
- She posted a season-high 53 assists against Virginia.
- Maeva ranks third on the team in digs with 127 and has recorded at least one ace in 10 matches.
- She serves as team captain alongside Gabby McLaughlin.
GABBY GETS IT DONE
- Gabby McLaughlin leads the Orange with 210 kills through 14 matches at 3.96 per set.
- McLaughlin was named MVP in both the UAlbany Invitational and Salt City Classic.
- She has recorded 10 double-doubles this season.
- McLaughlin set season highs last weekend with 23 kills against Virginia.
- She earned All-Mountain West honors at Nevada in 2024.
SO GREAT, SOANA
- Soana Lea'ea has recorded at least one block in each match this season.
- Through 53 sets at middle blocker, Lea'ea has racked up 90 kills and 37 blocks.
- She posted an .833 hitting percentage in the sweep of Canisius.
- Lea'ea recorded a season-high five blocks against Colgate.
THE REMARKABLE RANA
- Rana Yamada has established herself as Syracuse's starting libero.
- Yamada leads the team with 178 digs and has been a threat from the service line with 14 aces.
- She recorded multiple aces in six matches this year and posted four aces against Rider.
- Yamada has contributed 57 assists from the libero position.
FIRST-CLASS SERVICE
- Syracuse has recorded 96 aces through 14 matches.
- The Orange recorded double-digit aces four times this season.
- Syracuse tallied a season-high 13 aces in the win over St. John's.
- Reese Teves leads the way with 17 total aces.
