The Syracuse Volleyball team (13-16, 5-14 ACC) will play its final game of the season on Friday afternoon, getting set to take on the Virginia Tech Hokies (11-19, 3-16 ACC).

LAST TIME THE TWO FACED OFF
Syracuse is looking to complete the season sweep of the Hokies, having already beaten Virginia Tech on the road earlier this year. It was a 3-1 win for the Orange, rattling off three straight sets after dropping the first.

The three opening sets were all decided by just two points, with the two squads playing close the entire way. Senior captain Gabby McLaughlin led the way for Syracuse with 21 kills while swinging .319.

Sydnie Waller was impressive in the win, going for 12 kills while adding three blocks.

Virginia Tech's Payton Woods had one of her best matches of the season, going for 16 kills and four blocks.

Tehya Maeva has distributed 941 assists this season, ranking sixth in the conference while averaging a career-high 9.09 assists per set. Maeva posted 31 assists and a service ace in the loss at Clemson.

Skylar George ranks second on the team with 290 kills and leads Syracuse with 30 service aces. George has posted 11 double-digit kill performances in ACC play and recorded five kills against the Tigers on Tuesday.

Sydnie Waller has doubled her kill total from last season, posting 153 kills in 2025. Waller recorded a season-high 15 kills on a .538 hitting percentage against NC State.

DEFENSIVE INTENSITY
Syracuse has held opponents to a .216 hitting percentage this season, ranking in the top 10 of the ACC. The Orange held Clemson to a .254 hitting percentage on Tuesday. Syracuse has held opponents under .200 in 12 matches this season, including four matches under .100.

Recently, the Orange held #8 SMU to a .296 hitting percentage, the first time in all of November the Mustangs were held under .300 in a match.

The defense averages 14.38 digs per set, the fourth-highest mark in the ACC. Rana Yamada leads the team with 361 digs, averaging 3.40 digs per set. Yamada recorded seven digs in Tuesday's loss.
