With nearly two decades since their last meeting, this game brings new challenges as both teams have evolved significantly. At their last meeting, the Orange were ranked seventh with a 9-4 record after the game and the Crimson were ranked 19th but fell to 6-7.
Offensive and Defensive Rankings
Syracuse is one of two teams ranked in the top 10 in both offense and defense with an average of 15.50 goals scored per game and allowed an average of 7.00 goals per game. The only other team to accomplish this is Notre Dame with 23.00 goals per game and 7.50 goals allowed per game.
