
Men’s Lacrosse Ranked 11th in Both Polls

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse University men's lacrosse was ranked 11th in both major polls this week as the team prepares for its first-ever trip to the University of Utah this weekend.
Syracuse (3-2) dropped its first home game of the season on Saturday against No. 15 Harvard. The Orange were ranked 11th in the USILA Coaches Poll with 277 points and 11th in the Inside Lacrosse Division I Media Poll with 138 points.
Notre Dame remained in first in both polls, picking up 620 points in the Coaches Poll and all 31 first-place votes and 440 points in the Media Poll with the 22 first-place votes. Maryland was second in both with 586 points and 415 points, respectively. Cornell (549/398) and North Carolina (491/356) were third and fourth. The Coaches Poll had Duke and Army West Point tied for fifth with 488 points while the Black Knights were fifth in the Media Poll with 338 points.
Across the 2025 season, Syracuse will face nine teams ranked in the USILA Coaches Poll: No. 1 Notre Dame, No. 2 Maryland, No. 3 Cornell, No. 4 Cornell, No. 5 Duke, No. 7 Johns Hopkins, No. 13 Harvard, No. 15 Colgate, No. 18 Virginia.
The No. 11 Orange head west for the University of Utah on Saturday. Game time at Rice-Eccles Stadium is set for a 2 p.m. ET start on ESPN+. Saturday marks the team's first trip to face the Utes on their home turf. Syracuse topped Utah 18-7 last spring at the JMA Wireless Dome.
