Craig Wolfley, a two-time All-American at Syracuse and 12-year NFL star, passed away on Monday at the age of 66.
Wolfley played offensive line for Syracuse from 1976-79, where he was a four-year letterwinner and was twice named an Associated Press All-American. He was named to Syracuse's All-Century Team in 1999.
After his collegiate career, he went on to be selected in the fifth round of the NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He'd spend 10 years with the Steelers' organization before playing his final two seasons with the Minnesota Vikings. Wolfley started over 100 career games in the NFL.
He later joined the Steelers' radio broadcast team, serving as a sideline reporter and color commentator for a number of years, one of his many off-the-field endeavors. Wolfley placed fifth in the World's Strongest Man competition in 1981 and later owned a boxing club in the Pittsburgh area.
He is survived by his wife, Faith, and six children.
