Defensive end Fadil Diggs has been drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Diggs is the fourth player to come off the board for Syracuse, giving the Orange their most selections since 2006 after head coach Fran Brown's first season at the helm. Diggs joins Oronde Gadsden II (fifth round – Chargers), Kyle McCord (sixth round – Eagles) and LeQuint Allen Jr. (seventh round – Jaguars) in being selected.
Diggs was an honorable mention All-ACC selection in his first season with the Orange, after transferring from Texas A&M. He started all-12 regular season contests, was a team captain and led the team in both tackles for loss (14.0) and sacks (7.5).
In addition to his play behind the line of scrimmage, he also made 45 tackles, forced a fumble, had a fumble recovery and a pass breakup on the season.
Across his two schools of collegiate competition, he was a three-time team captain, logged 120 tackles, 32.5 tackles for loss, 15.5 sacks, four forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
With the NFL Draft concluded, a number of Orange are likely to be prized additions as undrafted free agents. Stay tuned to Cuse.com to see where 'Cuse players will begin their NFL journeys.
