
Orange Ranked 12th Entering ACC Tournament

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – With the 2025 ACC Men's Lacrosse Tournament set to kick off this Friday in Charlotte, the Syracuse University men's lacrosse team will enter the league postseason ranked 12th in both the USILA Division I Coaches Poll and the Inside Lacrosse Division I Media Poll.
Syracuse (9-5) had 247 points in the USILA Coaches Poll this week, slipping one spot from 11th a week ago. Likewise, the Orange were ranked 12th by the media with 220 points.
Cornell continued its run at the top of the USILA Coaches Poll with 539 points and 26 of the 27 first-place votes. Princeton was second with 500 points while Maryland was third with 494 points and the final first-place vote. Army West Point was second with 440 points with Ohio State rounding out the top five with 436 points.
The Inside Lacrosse Media Poll had the same order for the top five with Cornell atop for a sixth-straight week, picking up 480 points and all 24 top selections. Princeton was second with 447 points followed by Maryland (436), Army West Point (396) and Ohio State (375).
Nine Syracuse opponents were among those named in this week's USILA Coaches Poll: No. 1 Cornell, No. 3 Maryland, No. 6 Notre Dame, No. 8 North Carolina, No. 9 Duke, No. 11 Harvard, No. 15 Towson, with Virginia and Colgate receiving votes.
Ten teams on this season's schedule were listed on the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll: No. 1 Cornell, No. 3 Maryland, No. 6 Notre Dame, No. 8 North Carolina, No. 9 Duke, No. 11 Harvard, No. 14 Towson, as Virginia, Johns Hopkins, and Jacksonville received votes.
No. 12 Syracuse, the four seed for the ACC Tournament, takes on top-seeded No. 6 Notre Dame in the semifinal round. Game time on Friday, May 2 is set for 5 p.m. at American Legion Memorial Stadium. Anish Shroff, Matt Ward, and Dana Boyle will be on the broadcast for ACC Network throughout the weekend.
