J.J., Petar Earn All-ACC Academic Men's Basketball

Junior J.J. Starling and freshman Petar Majstorovic have been selected to the 2024-25 All-ACC Academic Men's Basketball Team.
Starling was named for the second straight year. Only three other Syracuse men's basketball players have earned multiple selections to the All-ACC Academic Men's Basketball Team: Joseph Girard (3), Tyus Battle (2) and Buddy Boeheim (2).
Starling was also an All-ACC Honorable Mention pick after leading the Orange in scoring average (17.8 ppg.) and minutes-played average (34.6 mpg.) this past season. He is majoring in Communication and Rhetorical Studies in the College of Visual and Performing Arts.
Majstorovic played in 31 games as a first-year player at Syracuse. He averaged 2.6 points and 3.2 rebounds per contest. Majstorovic is enrolled in the Martin J. Whitman School of Management.

- Candidates must have a minimum 3.0 grade-point average for their career as well as a minimum 3.0 grade-point average during the most recently completed semester (Fall) or quarter.
- Graduate students must have an undergraduate and graduate career minimum grade-point average of 3.0 as well as a minimum 3.0 grade-point average during the most recently completed semester (Fall) or quarter.
- Athletic criteria considered includes participation in 50 percent of his team's scheduled gamesÂ
