
PLL Season Gets Underway Friday Night

ALBANY, N.Y. – The 2025 Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) season gets underway Friday night in New York's capital city: Albany. Syracuse University men's lacrosse is well represented across the League this summer.
Three former Syracuse players made opening day rosters as players: Will Mark, Jake Stevens and Carter Rice. Mark and Stevens will suit up for the New York Atlas, with former Orange Steven Brooks back with the Atlas again as an assistant coach. Rice will make his rookie debut with the California Redwoods. Another former player, Roy Colsey, makes his head coaching debut with the Carolina Chaos this weekend while current assistant coach John Odierna joins the Boston Cannons as an assistant coach.
Additional players listed on PLL rosters, though not selected to dress this weekend, include Sam English (Redwoods), Cole Kirst (Redwoods), Owen Hiltz (Chaos), Tucker Dordevic (Maryland Whipsnakes, IR), and Michael Grace (Atlas).
Action at Casey Stadium, located on the campus of the University at Albany, opens at 6 p.m. on Friday as the Chaos and Atlas lead off. The Redwoods and Outlaws follow with an 8:30 p.m. opening faceoff. Both games will be carried on ESPN+ Friday night.
Saturday sees the Whipsnakes and two-time defending champion Archers clash at 1 p.m. on ABC and ESPN+. Boston Cannons and the Atlas close out the weekend with a 7 p.m. showdown on ESPN+.
