
Women’s Rowing Alumnae Set to Compete in 2025 Senior World Championships

A pair of Syracuse Women's Rowing alumnae will compete on the international stage next week, as the 2025 Senior World Rowing Championships are set to start on Sunday, September 21 in Shanghai China. Emmie Frederico will represent Australia in the Women's 4- while Kamile Kralikaite will represent Lithuania in the Women's 2- boat.
The Senior World Championships will take place in Shanghai, China at the Shanghai Water Sports Centre. The facility is equipped with two racecourses. The events will start on Sunday, September 21st and conclude the following Sunday, September 28th.
Frederico will sit in the bow seat of the Women's Four for the Australian team. The class of 2024 alum has competed in several international events for the Australian National Team, notably taking silver in the 2025 World Rowing Cup as a member of the W4-. As a member of the Orange, she helped lead Syracuse to its first-ever ACC Championship and was named a CRCA Second Team All-American in the process. Frederico sat stroke seat in the 2024 NCAA Championship varsity eight boat that finished eighth, matching the second-best finish in program history.
Kralikaite will sit in the stroke seat while competing in the Women's Pair for Lithuania. Also a 2024 alum, Kralikaite has been on the water for a few international events, including the 2024 Paris Olympic Games where she finished fifth in the Women's Pair with a time of 7:05.34. Another member of Syracuse's first-ever ACC Championship winning team, she was an All-ACC First team honoree after sitting four-seat in the varsity eight boat. She was also named a first-team All-American in 2024.
