Syracuse (3-1-3) plays the second of five straight home matches when it hosts Cornell (2-1-2) on Sunday, Sept. 7, at 1:00 p.m, at the SU Soccer Stadium.
The team will celebrate Senior Day in a pregame ceremony. Seniors recognized include Mackenzie Dupre, Maya McDermott, Anna Rupert, Aleena Ulke, Ava Uribe and Shea Vanderbosch. Managers Tim Caulfield and Anna McDonald will also be honored.
The Syracuse-Cornell Series
The Orange own a 10-2-3 all-time series advantage over the Big Red. Their most recent meeting came on Sept. 1, 2024, where Cornell triumphed 1-0. Syracuse is undefeated at home against Cornell, posting a 6-0-3 record.Â

The Orange have earned back-to-back scoreless draws against Princeton and Binghamton.Â
Graduate student Ashley Rauch and Senior Mia Klammer each have four goals for the Orange. Rauch leads the squad with three assists, while Klammer and freshman Julia Arbelaez each have two.Â
Senior Shea Vanderbosch is coming off a seven-save effort against the Bearcats. Vanderbosch now has 316 career saves to her name, owning third place on Syracuse's career saves list. On the season, she has a 0.62 goals against average and a .879 save percentage. Vanderbosch has posted back-to-back shutouts.

Cornell (2-1-2) enters the match coming off a 3-1 defeat at Delaware. The Big Red posted back-to-back victories against Colgate (2-1) and LaSalle (1-0) earlier in the campaign.Â
Senior Mariana Kessinger leads the team with three points, having a goal and an assist this fall. Kessinger netted the winner, her first career collegiate goal, in the match against LaSalle.Â
True freshman goalkeeper Samantha Qureshey has started all five matches for the Big Red, recording shutouts against Boston College and LaSalle. She owns a goals against average of 1.00 and a save percentage of .780.Â
