Two Meets Set for Saturday

The Syracuse track and field teams have their first multi-meet weekend of the season, starting Saturday. 'Cuse will send runners to the Nittany Lion Challenge, hosted by Penn State, and Cornell's Upstate Challenge.

Orange Entries
Tia Outlaw will be the first member of the Orange on the track in the women's 60-meter hurdles at 12:40 p.m. in heat 1. She'll be joined by teammates Emeline Clark (heat 3), and Peyton Rollins and Taleea Buxton in heat 4. Finals qualifiers will race again at 2:10 p.m.

The men's 60-meter hurdles will start at 12:50 p.m., featuring Jamir Brown and Tawakal Omar in heat 1, followed by Isaiah Hayes in heat 2. The men's final will come at 2:15 p.m.

Indie Wallace-Persaud (heat 2) and Sierra Joesph (heat 6) will take on the 60-meter dash at 1:15 p.m., looking to qualify for the finals at 2:20 p.m.

Clark and Mia Hernandez will race in the 300-meter dash at 2:35 p.m.

The day will wrap up with the 400-meters. Shayla Ford and Nicea Jones will represent the women at 3:05 p.m., followed by Elijah Mallard 10 minutes later.

CORNELL UPSTATE CHALLENGE:

Orange Entries:
The men's mile will kickoff Syracuse's competition in a big way at 1:25 p.m., with 10 men entered in the field. 'Cuse will race Connor Ackley, Connell Alford, Omar Alsaidi, Asher Danielson, Julian Franjieh, Charles Guerrera, Sam Ricchiuti, Ruben Rojas Betanzos, Louis Small and Drew Zundell.

Eleven women will then take on the women's mile at 1:35 p.m. Maisie Burns, Mackenzie Cook, Emma Eastman, Beatriz Fernandes, Jayden Harberts, Alycia Hart, Madeline Heintz, Gretta Johnson, Sarah Lawson, Blake Parker and Hailey Schuemann are entered in the field.

Samantha Block will compete in the 600-meters at 2:15 p.m. to round out the afternoon.
