#11 Orange Selected to NCAA Women’s Rowing Championships

The No. 11 ranked Syracuse women's rowing team is heading to Gainesville, Georgia to compete at the 2026 NCAA Women's Rowing Championships after being selected as an at-large bid on Tuesday evening. This is the sixth consecutive season the Orange have earned a spot at the NCAA Championships under head coach Luke McGee.
Racing will span three days on Lake Lanier, starting on Friday, May 29 and wrapping up on Sunday, May 31.
Syracuse is one of 22 teams heading to Lake Lanier for the event, including four other ACC squads. The NCAA Championships feature three events, with the Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight and Varsity Four.
The Orange are coming off a fourth-place finish at the ACC Championships, with two boats bringing home hardware. The 2V4 placed second while the 2V8 earned bronze in Raleigh, North Carolina. Ellie-Kate Hutchinson earned First Team All-ACC distinction while Acorn Cassidy and Kateryna Ustiuzhanina earned Second Team honors.
