Orange Place 9 on All-ACC Academic Team

Nine Syracuse men's lacrosse players were named to the All-ACC Academic Team on Thursday, highlighting their success both on the field and in the classroom.
Payton Anderson (economics), Riley Figueiras (health and exercise science), Joseph Filardi (communication and rhetorical studies), Wyatt Hottle (finance), Tucker Kellogg (history), Chuck Kuczynski (earth science), Tyler McCarthey (economics), Dylan Sageder (finance) and Finn Thomson (communication and rhetorical studies) were all honored by the league.
In order to be considered for the All-ACC Academic team, a student-athletes must be an undergraduate, have been enrolled at the institution for one year, maintain a cumulative GPA over 3.0, have above a 3.0 in each of the last-two semesters, and have appeared in at least 50-percent of a team's games in the most recent season of competition. Student-athletes who have earned their undergraduate degree and were pursuing a master's degree this season are eligible for the ACC's graduate scholar-athlete award, which will be announced in July. The ACC honor roll, which honors student-athletes for academic success regardless of on-field competition, will also be announced in July.
