Célaine Ricco Joins the Orange

Célaine Ricco a 5-foot-7 guard from Seine-et-Marne, France, will join the Orange women's basketball program for the upcoming 2026-27 season.
Ricco arrives at Syracuse with a decorated background in French youth and national competition having played in the 2024 FIBA U18 Women's Eurobasket, 2025 FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup and the 2026 FIBA U20 Women's EuroBasket. In her career with the French national teams she averaged 2.7 points, 1.7 rebound sand 1.2 assists per game over 14 games. The 2024 FIBA U18 squad won gold while in 2025 they placed 5th overall.
She played for UsoMondeville in high school from 2020-2024 and won the U18 French National Championship.
Ricco joins Sarah Rambus, Tyi Skinner, Jaleesa Molina, Emely Rodriguez, Elif Çayir, Madison Howard and Destiny Robinson as the new additions to head coach Felisha Legette-Jack's squad which returns 2026 ACC Rookie of the Year Uche Izoje and an experienced group of upperclassmen.
