The midway point of the 2026 Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) season has come and gone, as has the All-Star game and plenty of former Syracuse University men's lacrosse players have made their mark on this season.
Below are capsules of each former Syracuse players' contributions to their respective teams this season.Â
The PLL returns to regular season action this weekend at Martin Stadium in Chicago, Illinois. The Redwoods take on the Waterdogs Friday at 6:30 p.m. ET with the Atlas and Archers playing the nightcap at 9 p.m. ET. The Outlaws and Cannons open action on Saturday at 2 p.m. ET with a Syracuse-heavy finale at 9:30 p.m. ET. The WLL's Maryland Cham and New York Charging play on Saturday between the PLL games with a 7 p.m. ET first draw.
Dante Bowen (California Redwoods: 4-2)
Hailing from Brampton, Ontario, Dante Bowen is listed as unavailable to travel on the PLL roster after he was selected 30th overall in the fourth round of this year's PLL Draft.
Billy Dwan III (Maryland Whipsnakes: 3-3)
Rookie longstick midfielder Billy Dwan III has played in four games for the Eastern Conference leading Maryland Whipsnakes. Dwan has caused two turnovers with six ground balls. He has one assist to classmate Joey Spallina, the pair's first professional points. Dwan has six ground balls so far in 2026.
Sam English (California Redwoods: 4-2)
Now in his second professional year with the PLL, Sam English has played in four games for the league-leading Redwoods, ranking nine points in those four contests. He has seven 1-point goals and a pair of assists with 24 total shots. The versatile midfielder has logged 15 ground balls against just five turnovers.
Michael Grace (New York Atlas: 3-3)
Michael Grace is listed on the Physically Unable to Perform list after suffering a lower body injury late in the National Lacrosse League (NLL) postseason.
Owen Hiltz (Carolina Chaos: 3-3)
Owen Hiltz has played in four games for the Chaos this year, posting six points on five goals and one assist. He has scored on 50 percent of his 10 shots on goal this year. Quarterbacking the offense, Hiltz has 87 touches with 63 passes to date.Â
Michael Leo (California Redwoods: 4-2)
Rookie Michael Leo has played in four games for the league-lead Redwoods, scoring in three of those games. He has a point in every game of his young professional career, tacking on an assist in mid June. One of Leo's four goals came on the power play while scoring on 21.4 percent of his total shots.
Will Mark (New York Atlas: 3-3)
Second-year netminder Will Mark has not played in a game this season for the third-place New York Atlas, serving the team as a backup goalie.
Carter Rice (California Redwoods: 4-2)
Second-year short-sick defensive midfielder has played in all six games so far for the Redwoods, which lead the PLL standings, grabbing five ground balls and one caused turnover in those games. He has made 31 total passes this season alongside 33 total touches.
Luke Rhoa (New York Atlas: 3-3)
Playing in his rookie season for the New York Atlas, Rhoa has logged time in one game, making his debut against the Redwoods on June 5. He is currently listed as out with a wrist sprain on the New York Atlas roster.
Joey Spallina (Maryland Whipsnakes: 3-3)
Joey Spallina was a reserve for the East All-Star game, winning the Accuracy Challenge during the skills competition while scoring and adding an assist for the East. During the regular season, Spallina has played in four games for the Whipsnakes, who lead the Eastern Conference. Spallina has tallied five goals with eight assists for 13 points. The rookie has 138 touches and 112 total passes while grabbing seven ground balls.
Jake Stevens (New York Atlas: 3-3)
A second-year midfielder for the defending champion Atlas, Jake Stevens has played in four games with one assist this year. He has a pair of ground balls with 46 total touches and 37 passes for the Atlas, currently in third place of the Eastern Conference standings.
Finn Thomson (California Redwoods: 4-2)
Finn Thomson is noted as unavailable to travel on the Redwoods' roster. The Toronto, Ontario product was signed to the Redwoods after the inaugural PLL Pro Day in Baltimore.
Matt Wright (California Redwoods: 4-2)
Matt Wright, playing his first season in the PLL, has logged time in two games for the top team in the League, the California Redwoods. He has three ground balls to his credit this season, including two against the Utah Archers on June 19.
Steven Brooks (Carolina Chaos: 3-3)
First-year head coach for the Carolina Chaos Steven Brooks has his team in the hunt, sitting third in the Western standings but just a half-game back of the Denver Outlaws (3-2).
