Syracuse and Holy Cross meet for the second straight season when they square off on Sunday, Aug. 16, at the SU Soccer Stadium.
Syracuse-Holy Cross Series
The Orange and the Crusaders met for the first time a year ago in Worcester, Mass. Syracuse came away with a 3-1 triumph. Ashley Rauch scored twice and Mia Klammer had two assists for the Orange in the victory.
Syracuse Status
The Orange opened the 2026 season by battling Villanova to a 0-0 draw. Junior goalkeeper Maya Naimoli had a spectacular debut for the Orange, making four saves including one from point-blank range in the final minute of play.
Sophomore Julia Arbelaez and junior Gabby Wisbeck led the offensive attack with four and three shots, respectfully. The defensive effort in front of Naimoli was anchored by sophomore Bree Bridges and junior Jasmine Nixon, who each logged 90 minutes while making their 19th consecutive starts in Orange.

The Crusaders began their campaign by rallying from a 2-0 deficit to tie Quinnipiac, 2-2, on Aug. 12. Fifth-year midfielder Sam Halligan had a goal and an assist and junior defender Caroline Bierfeldt contributed a goal. Junior Antriana Mila started in goal for Holy Cross and finished with two saves.
Holy Cross is led by Ben Graham, who is in his fifth season as head coach.
World Cup Game Promotion:
Sunday's match will feature World-Cup themed activities for the fans in attendance. Those who attend are encouraged to wear their favorite national-team jerseys or bring their favorite flags.
World Cup trivia, sponsored by Dunkin' Donuts, is scheduled for halftime.
