8/26/2026 1:30:00 PM | Football
An exciting six-game home slate for Syracuse football is coming and the gameday experience is filled new in-game initiatives designed to enhance the fan experience and strengthen the home-field advantage in the Loud House.
Previously, Syracuse Athletics announced new additions to 'Cuse on the Quad and the Toyota Fun Zone and Syracuse Football's promotional schedule with individual game themes. All is just the beginning of a broader effort by Syracuse Athletics to continually evaluate and elevate the fan experience across its events.
"The Dome is one of the most unique venues in sports and we want to create a gameday atmosphere that harnesses its unlimited potential to create a first-class fan experience and a disruptive home-field advantage," said Director of Athletics Bryan B. Blair. "We're excited to unveil new initiatives for the season opener, both on the Quad and in-venue, that fans will see, hear and feel throughout gameday to elevate that experience for our fans. However, this is just the beginning of our larger efforts. We will continue to seek fan and student feedback as we aim to deliver an unmatched gameday experience in the Dome."
IN-GAME ADDITIONS AND UPGRADES FOR 2026:
The third quarter belongs to Syracuse students this season, featuring student-focused entertainment, creating a quarter specifically built for the student section. Students can expect special contests, giveaways and more each game, including fun student vs. faculty/staff competition. There will also be student-only concession specials in the Flex Space behind sections 122-124, including $2 hot dogs, $2 popcorn and $2 beverages (Coca-Cola products, including water).
Beyond the third quarter, the Flex Space will have student opportunities all game long. The area will feature Otto's Army giveaways, a photo booth creating Syracuse themed photo backgrounds and an opportunity to "Be the DJ" and send your requests to DJ Skeet to play in game. On field, a new, rapid fire t-shirt cannon will take giveaways to an entirely new level, reaching fans throughout the Dome.
As student passes have sold out four years in a row, students should act now to secure their spot in the student section this season before student section tickets are gone. Student passes are available here: Syracuse Student Pass.
UPGRADED TEAM ENTRANCE
The Orange will take the field with an enhanced team entrance in 2026. While the newest element is being kept a surprise for the season opener, fans are encouraged to be in their seats early and experience it firsthand as the Orange take the field for the first time in 2026.
LIGHTS OUT: FANS BECOME PART OF THE SHOW
The Dome light show returns for 2026. Update your 'Cuse Mobile App, ahead of gameday and be ready for the team entrance and the transition from the student-focused third quarter into the fourth quarter, when the lights go out.
Fans should click the lights and trivia button on the app and become part of the show. The flashlight on your cell phone will automatically sync to the music to help create an immersive atmosphere at those key moments of the game.
There's much more on gameday that the 'Cuse app provides as well. Available now at the Apple App Store and Google Play, and a one-stop for all-20 programs at Syracuse, fans can utilize the app to participate in in-game trivia, interactive offerings, staying up-to-date on gameday with live stats updates and exclusive video replays of highlight-reel plays and more!
FOURTH QUARTER: STRICTLY BUSINESS
The transition into the fourth quarter will signal another shift inside the Loud House. After a third quarter dedicated to students, the final quarter is all business. When the game is on the line, in-game programming will feature fewer interruptions and an increased emphasis on football, music, video and crowd energy designed to help the Orange finish strong.
NEW SOUND FOR THE LOUD HOUSE
New song additions are coming for the 2026 season, in addition to the student participation in DJ selections. On defensive third downs, when the Loud House needs to live up to its reputation as one of the loudest venues in sports, DMX's Ruff Ryders Anthem will signal Orange fans to get on their feet and make noise as Syracuse looks to disrupt the opposing offense.
The longstanding tradition of the intro to Hells Bells will still remain in part, as a mix into the song.
Fans will also see an increased emphasis on measuring and celebrating the volume inside the Loud House, including live decibel tracking during key moments. The challenge to Orange Nation is simple: get louder when Syracuse needs it most and help turn crowd noise into a true home-field advantage.
DOME GATES AND PREGAME ACTIVITIES
After enjoying your time at 'Cuse on the Quad, fans can make their way into the Dome beginning 90 minutes prior to kickoff.
A pregame stop should be Miron Victory Court. Entering its second full season, the newest addition to the JMA Wireless Dome features unique food and beverage options each week that you can only get inside Miron.
After team warmups, on-field entertainment begins 30 minutes prior to kickoff, including a performance by the Pride of the Orange - Syracuse's marching band, celebrating its 150th year and debuting new uniforms this fall. The new look will accompany game-specific themes and performances throughout the season.
Pregame will also feature the return of the pregame drummer, with a notable Syracuse figure taking the drum each week to lead the student section and Orange Nation in a "Let's Go Orange" chant before the team takes the field.
