Five From 'Cuse Named to NFHCA Watchlist

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Five Syracuse University field hockey student-athletes earned mention on the 2026 NFHCA Division I Preseason Watch List, as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Thursday morning.
Senior goalkeeper Jessie Eiselin, senior forward Hattie Madden, sophomore midfielder/forward Taylor Bigbie, sophomore forward Aubrey Turner and freshman midfielder Jess Liddell were among those mentioned on the Watchlist.
Below are capsules from each Syracuse honoree, in alphabetical order.
Taylor Bigbie | Sophomore | Midfielder
A native of Rocky Point, New York, Bigbie played in all 20 games as a freshman in 2025, making one start against Colgate (Oct. 3). She totaled 17 shots, six on goal, and logged 599 minutes. Bigbie was part of Syracuse's defensive penalty-corner unit that limited opponents to 17 corner goals on 91 chances, an 18.7 percent conversion rate. A two-year member of the USA Field Hockey U-18 program, Bigbie was named to the U.S. U-21 Women's National Team for the Junior Pan American Cup, competing April 6-18 in Santiago, Chile, where the U.S. finished as tournament runner-up. Bigbie played this summer in England at the 4 Nations Tournament as well, helping the US side to a top finish.
Jessie Eiselin | Senior | Goalkeeper
A native of Amsterdam, Netherlands, Eiselin earned NFHCA First Team All-Region honors in 2025 after logging 757 total minutes in goal, splitting time with Tane King before taking over in the postseason, when she played 277 of a possible 280 minutes. Eiselin made 22 saves during the ACC and NCAA Tournaments, including a season-high nine against No. 6 Wake Forest (Nov. 5).
Jess Liddell | Freshman | Midfielder
A native of Ascot, Berkshire, England, and product of Bradfield College, Liddell joins the Orange as part of the 2026 signing class. Liddell played in the 8 Nations Tournament for England this summer in Spain.
Hattie Madden | Senior | Forward
A native of Lytham, England, Madden earned NFHCA Second Team All-Region honors in 2025 after playing and starting all 20 games as a junior, finishing with a team-best 19 points on nine goals and one assist. She tallied a hat trick in the season opener against Lock Haven (Aug. 29), scored the game-winning goal against No. 13 Ohio State (Sept. 7), and struck in both the ACC Tournament quarterfinals against No. 6 Wake Forest (Nov. 5) and the NCAA Tournament first round against No. 6 Liberty (Nov. 14). She finished 22-of-32 on shots on goal across 977 minutes played.
Aubrey Turner | Sophomore | Forward
A native of Downingtown, Pennsylvania., Turner earned NFHCA Second Team All-Region honors as a true freshman in 2025, starting all 20 games and finishing with 18 points on seven goals and four assists, going 18-of-32 on shots on goal. She scored three game-winning goals, including the game-winning penalty stroke against No. 6 Liberty (Nov. 14) in the NCAA Tournament first round. Turner has past experience with the USA Field Hockey U16 and U18 National Teams and the Indoor National Team, and trained at the USAFH U-21 Junior National Camp in Charlotte (Jan. 30-Feb. 1). Turner joined Bigbie in England at the 4 Nations Tournament as well.
