SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Syracuse men's soccer held onto a 2-0 victory over Loyola Maryland on Friday night at SU Soccer Stadium.The Orange dictated play throughout, finishing with a 22-5 advantage in shots, a 9-1 edge in shots on goal, and an 11-2 advantage on corner kicks.
Bryson Rodriguez and Pedro Gulli scored two minutes apart late in the first half to put the Orange in front for good. Rodriguez earns his second career goal for the Orange while Gulli notched his first for the Orange Badr Laghjibi earned himself a stake in both goals, recording two assists on the night. In goal, Kyle Jansen stayed locked in for the full 90 minutes of the contest, earning one save to his 2-0 shut out win.
Syracuse continues its home stand, taking on Iona at SU Soccer Stadium on Monday, August 31, at 7 p.m.
