On tonight's game:
"This was a game when you're coming off two losses you just try to get a win. At one point there the picture wasn't too pretty. We really played well after it went to 47-40. We really played well the rest of the way."
On this year's Virginia Tech team:
"There a much better team. We played them last year. There is no comparision between last year's team and this year's team. Their defense is better. Their offense was good tonight. They moved the basketball. They're patient. They did a great job tonight.
On the team's offensive performance:
"Everybody made some big plays. James Thues went to the foul line when we had to have him, and made them. Craig Forth made a great foul line jump shot. There was just a lot of different guys that made big plays for us. Deshaun hit that big three. We made some good decisions when we did get the lead. We got the ball inside, we got some good penetration. We were patient on offense. We did some nice things."
On the shooting and overall play of Deshaun Williams:
"This was a game where we really needed it (his shooting). He not only made some shots, he just played well.
