Damone Brown paced the attack, tying career-best efforts with 26 points and 13 rebounds. He helped the Orangemen to a strong start by tallying 12 points and 12 boards in the first half.
Leading by one, 29-28, with under six minutes left in the opening stanza, SU closed out the half with a 17-5 run. In that stretch, Kueth Duany scored eight of his career-high 14 points.
The Orangemen shot 74 percent from the field in the second half as their advantage swelled to as many as 29 points. SU had assists on 16 of its 20 second-half buckets.
Preston Shumpert hit for 14 points, his 12th straight double-digit effort. The backcourt tandem of Allen Griffin and DeShaun Williams also tallied double-digit scoring totals.
James Thues had a collegiate-best eight points to go with four assists. Jeremy McNeil posted a career-high five blocked shots and added five rebounds and four points in 16 minutes.
