Carrier Dome, Syracuse, N.Y.
Sophomore Billy Edelin
On tonight's game:
"It was good for us to go out there and see where we're at. It's something we're going to have to build on. We have some time before our next game, so I think it was a good stepping stone."
On not giving up after falling behind:
"We fought back and we didn't let the game get out of hand. It would have been easy for us to fold up. Things weren't going our way at certain points, but we tried to battle and fight back. We left it all out on the court, and I was happy with that."
Junior Josh Pace
On his expectations of tonight's game:
"We knew it was going to be a tough game. We watched them against Michigan State and knew they were going to come after us. Coach knew what he was doing by scheduling this game. We needed this game to get ready for the season. It's a learning experience."
On the watching the 2003 National Championship banner be raised:
"It felt good, but it also felt good to know that year is over. We're trying to focus on this year. We have to get used to the new team we have."
Sophomore Gerry McNamara
On the Globetrotters:
"They were great guys, and they're great basketball players. Z (Former SU standout Lazarus Sims) plays pick-up with us and we've learned a lot from him."
On the big picture:
"I thought this was a great game for us, especially losing early and at home. We're not used to that and it puts things into perspective. We know now what we have to do and where we have to be. We should be ready to go on the 26th (against Charlotte)."
