Offensive Tackle, 6-5, 315

On his decision to come to Syracuse:
“Syracuse was the best all-around academically and football-wise. And the coaching staff here, I just wanted to have the opportunity to be coached by them because they are a very good staff.”
On transitioning to Syracuse:
“It’s been good. It took me a little while to find everything, but it’s all pretty centralized, so it’s easy. I’ve been focusing on my classes and the adjustment to school. It’s not bad. It’s already my third time to do it, so I’m pretty used to it.”
On his academic goals:
“Academically, I want to go into coaching, so that’s another reason why I wanted to learn under these superior coaches. I’ve heard a lot about Coach DeLeone. He’s a very good position coach. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Coach Pasqualoni.”
On the coaching staff:
“They really look after everyone. I get a lot of help. I have study hall, the coaches look after me to make sure I go to classes. They keep you on track academically.”
On college-level conditioning:
“It’s a little harder, but I’m getting used to it. All I’ve done so far is work in the weight room lifting and conditioning, but from what I can tell it’s a very good program. I’m ready for spring ball to start. I’m ready to get out there and put some pads on.”
On bonding with his teammates:
“They have stayed after with me, helping me get in shape, helping me with lifting. Offensive linemen always stick together, so they’ve taken me under their wing. I’ve gotten to know quite a few guys.”
